Information regarding Ross Regatta 2010
The course map can be found below. regatta course plan.pdf with 2 lanes. The regatta is run according to the ARA Rules of Racing which can be found on: http://www.britishrowing.org/rules
We provide camping facilities in the field adjacent to the club, free of charge, for competition entrants from the Friday evening onwards throughout the weekend. Toilet facilities are available on the field, with shower facilities available in the Club house only.
In addition, competitors can park their trailers in an adjacent field near to the 'boats on' area and there is plenty of car parking for spectators.

Our club boasts a comfortable bar where you'll be able to relax in the evening, with a late bar on both the Saturday and Sunday nights.
Not only is Ross-on-Wye a picturesque market town, the surrounding countryside and Wye Valley are areas of natural beauty, so why not visit for the whole weekend?

Sunday 29th August 2010 - Ross Masters & Junior Regatta
We offer a wide range of events for all junior categories to Vet E and F categories, and mixed Vet/Junior events for a bit of fun. As long as we get entries with opposition, all events with be scheduled to run.
A full list of events will be available at: http://www.ara-rowing.org/home at least 6 weeks prior to the regatta.
Entries can be made online a http://www.ara-rowing.org/home Entrants can even pay online or send us a cheque with a copy of the entries made online. The closing date for entries will be Saturday 21st August, with the draw being made on Sunday 22nd August. Please note payment on the day will be £10 per seat.

Events include pairs, doubles, quads, all coxed categories and mixed male/female categories.

REGATTA WELFARE PLAN - AUGUST 2010
Welfare Statement
Ross Rowing Club believe that the welfare and well being of all children, adults and vulnerable adults is paramount. All participants, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, religion or ability, have equal rights to safety and protection. All suspicions, concerns and allegations of harm will be taken seriously and responded to swiftly and appropriately.
Julie Brandram Jones has been appointed by RRC as the Regatta Welfare Officer. She acts as the first point of contact for any concerns or allegations. Contact details will be included on all competitor notes sent to crews and displayed in key boating areas throughout the duration of the regatta.
Note - the actions outlined in this plan, relate to Ross Regatta on Sunday 29th - Monday 30th August.
Many thanks to all the clubs that have entered our two regattas. We have had an unprecedented number of entries for both regattas and we are sorry if your entries did not get in.
We look forward to welcoming all the competitors over the weekend and there is still time to get entries in for our Dragon boat racing on the afternoon of Saturday 28th.
