In the bleak midwinter

Frosty rowers don’t fail

To row their boats come ice or snow, but

Tim’s face tells a tale …

πŸ•Ίβ€β™‚οΈ Annual Strictly Sparkle Row

This Friday 23rd Dec at 10am – wear your sparkliest rowing gear, bring nibbles to share afterwards.

Missing some absent friends in the pic above πŸ₯Ή

Festive Garlands

Festive wreath making was enjoyed by all, young and youthful at heart. Many thanks to Diane Lancaster who set this up and raised Β£100 for the club.

Diane suggests that after Christmas you strip the foliage from the willow rings so that you can use them again – even as a cane support in the garden.

Coffee, Cake and Kisses

Mistletoe, coffee, hot chocolate, mince pies, stollen, flapjack and even sausages rolls provided warm cheer in the bar after a chilly morning row on Sunday morning.

Well, some of us were cheerful … some look very naughty

Thank you Love Rowing

Love Rowing is the charitable foundation of British Rowing, and Ross Rowing Club is delighted to have been awarded a Β£3,000 grant to set up a new Mixed Ability Rowing programme. This will allow us to welcome and support EVERYONE, whatever (dis)abilities, hardships or challenges they face. More on this in the New Year. Aiming for an Easter start.

Grant recipient announcement 2022

The RRC Mixed Ability programme will cost just over Β£10,000 in its first year so this grant from Love Rowing is an important cornerstone. The project team will be applying for more grants and sponsors in the coming weeks to ensure the project can run at full capacity. If you or anyone you know has local charitable connections, or community or corporate sponsorships schemes aimed at supporting people with disabilities, do please let Sally P or Dan B know – email by clicking here – or on Spond.

We have a winner

Thank you to all who supported the Christmas Draw. A magnificent hamper of nibbles and tipples created by Pam, was won by Beth. Looks like a good Christmas !!
