Ross Rowing Club Regatta 2023

We look forward to seeing you at this year’s regatta held over the August Bank Holiday weekend, Sunday 27th/Monday 28th August 2023.

We’ve something for everyone with a wide range of boat classes, and a shorter 550m sprint regatta on Sunday and a longer 750m course on Monday 28th.

There is the usual range of boat classes, but some exciting extras including an octople event for J14/WJ14 (sure to be spectacular!) and our Memorial 8’s on the Monday. We have some stable Committee Boats available for a ‘Beginners’ category (4x+, 4+) for those who are new to rowing or have just done the Learn2Row course (we permit, and encourage, experienced coxes).  We welcome entries for Adaptive rowers (1x, 2x), please liaise with the Regatta Secretary on entry.

British Rowing has added Ross Regatta to its ‘Day Ticket’ trial, meaning that people can purchase a ticket at just £8 per day, rather than having to commit to the full cost of annual Race membership. Make a weekend of it and enter the infamous Dragon Boat Racing, Saturday 26th August, and enjoy our riverside camping, evening entertainments, bar and barbeque.

We have live music and freshly prepared food on Saturday and Sunday evenings along with well stocked bars both in the clubhouse and on our regatta lawn

Saturday evening you will be entertained by our very own club band… The Boatles

Saturday  Evening Food will be freshly prepared gourmet burgers served on the clubhouse lawn with views of the river and town

 

 

 

Sunday evening we have Ali Park and Amaretto Lounge

Amaretto Lounge are a well known local trio who play an eclectic mix of covers. We do everything from laid back summer vibes to foot stomping, sing along floor filling anthems including a bit of loop station technology to mix it up – literally!

Sunday evening food will be served in the Clubhouse from 19:30hrs

Home made Curries and Chilli (inc vegetarian options) with baked potatoes, rice & naan bread

£7.50 per serving

 

Entries via BROE will OPEN at 8am on Monday 17th July and will CLOSE at 10pm on Friday 11th August (or sooner if at capacity). Entries are limited to ~200 each day. This is a hugely popular event so get your entries in early to avoid disappointment!
