Ross Juniors perform well at Stourport

On Sunday 13th November Ross Junior crews went to Stourport
WJ16 4x
J15 2x
WJ18 1x
All crews raced very well taking second place in all three events.

Tank Training Part 2

On Wednesday evening, for the second time, Ross rowers went to Hereford to use HRC’s indoor tank to learn or improve their sweep oar technique.
With winter Head races in Eights coming up, and the Ross squads aiming for the big London events in the Spring, now is a good time to brush up on the technique.
Thanks again to Tim, Steve, Dave and Rich for their coaching.

Not quite sure what Dan is doing here… Impersonating a bow ball?

CHRISTMAS HAMPER DRAW

If you have been in the bar recently you will have seen the spectacular RRC Christmas Hamper – far nicer than the one pictured here. I’ll try and get a photo of the real thing for next week’s newsletter.

Only £1 per ticket and they can be bought on your contactless card at the bar.

The winning ticket will be drawn on the 16th December.

Learn to Row

We were delighted to welcome a number of local people to the bar on Friday night to see what our club looks like and to find out more about our “Learn to Row” programme.

This will start again in the Spring and more details can be found on our website here: LEARN TO ROW

Learn to Cox

Coxing involves steering the boat and making sure the rowers know what they are meant to be doing.

Some people prefer this to rowing and it is a fun way to enter competitions or just be in the boat and on the river without all the hard physical work !!!

People interested in coxing can get personal tuition and there is a much reduced membership fee of only £36 for the whole year.

Would you enjoy repairing boats ‍♂️, oars, even engines on our coaching boats?
Or maybe patch up torn canvas on boat slings?

We would be delighted to welcome you!
Mucking about with boats is a great way to spend a few happy hours.

Pictured above, a very grateful Sally thanks Neil for repairing the rudder
