Monmouth Head

The Ross trailer was full of boats and headed off to Monmouth Head on Sunday 4th December. A rare sight with two of the club’s eights loaded, ready to compete in their first event since the crews were formed only a few months ago .

Warm Welcome on a Chilly Day

It was a cold damp day but morale was high despite the rain. The  bacon rolls, delicious cakes and hot chocolate went down well before, during and after racing. Many thanks to our nearest neighbours Monmouth Rowing Club for their very warm welcome

Results

Some very close times over both divisions from all crews, a great effort considering some members had not rowed together until the day, we all should be very proud of ourselves . Well done .

Toxic Water

The UK has the lowest ranked water quality in Europe, beaches are closed and people are falling sick due to unknowingly swimming in raw sewage.
Instead of setting and enforcing ambitious targets to clean up our water the government is loosening testing standards and letting polluters mark their own homework.
Can you join me and almost 150,000 people who are calling on the government to make sure our rivers and beaches are protected, not polluted? https://act.gp/3F8ZjiQ

Festive Fun – Wreath Making

The RRC Christmas wreath making will happen on Saturday December 17th 10:30am. Spaces are limited and may well be full already. Please contact Diane Lancaster via Spond.

Meanwhile, last week, Ross rowers and friends were at the Royal for wreaths, fizz and festive fun.
