Morgan Wins Three in a Row
Morgan coxed the Leander eight to her third win in a row at the women’s head of the river race on the Thames on Sat 4th March.
The women’s Eights Head of the River Race has now become the largest women’s rowing race in the world.
It is the only race in the UK where novices can compete in the same race as Olympic champions.
Last year Ross women were there with a crew and had a great time!
Well done to Morgan and her crew!

A Wye Tsunami?!!
The government website for the river level at Ross on the 28th of February registered the height of the river at 32.77 meters, 11:45hrs.
Anybody notice a wall of water that would have covered most of Ross??!!
Thank you to Ian Hale, “Ianto”, for highlighting the extraordinary event on Spond.
We hope that anyone who was rowing at 2:45 on Febuary 28th is safe and well!!

More Good News on Mixed Ability Rowing ♀️
Love Rowing (British Rowing’s Charitable Foundation) gave Ross Rowing Club a shout out on social media, instagram and twitter, for our mixed ability evening.
A note from Dan Bailey after a successful mixed ability welcome event:
“Just want to say a massive thank you too everyone that came and support it in a variety of ways. I feel it was a massive success. As someone that sees people at leisure link every week and have made some really good friends there over the years, it was a real joy to see members of leisure link come out of their shell and having a great time.”
Further good news with notification of grants totalling £4,000 awarded to Mixed Ability Rowing from the Herefordshire Community Foundation, who enabled a £3,000 grant from the Iron Fund and a £1,000 grant from the Wye Valley AONB.
These grants recognise the benefit in getting more people with disabilities and long term health conditions into regular exercise and access to the special nature of our wonderful environment.

HCF’s logo has been added to our project poster and the Mixed Ability page on the RRC website
Our sincere thanks to all at the Herefordshire Community Foundation
